Former NBA player, Javaris Crittenton, is a wanted man ... in connection with the shooting death of a 23-year-old mother last Friday (August 19) in Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 23-year-old basketball player fired gunshots from a black SUV last week, after spotting a person he believed robbed him months earlier. Instead, Jullian Jones, a mother of four, was struck in the hip and died after surgery. Police do not believe she was the intended target. Now, Crittenton faces a murder charge, and has been at large since the shooting...

Bankrate.com [a consumer financial services company] recently compiled a list of jobs that are quickly going away according to Yusuf Wilson, President and Senior consultant of Wilson Training and Consulting Systems LLC in Bear, Del. With high unemployment and gloomy job forecasts it’s important for job hunters to identify industries that are hot in order to develop a better plan to gain employment.


Construction Workers


Salary range: $35,000 to $95,000


What happened: The unemployment rate for the construction industry hit 20.7 percent in December 2010, according to an analysis by The Associated General Contractors of America. As a segment dependent on the housing market, construction will most likely not recover until demand for housing improves.


A good replacement job: People in the construction industry have such a narrow skill set that retraining is important, says Justin Schakelman, vice president of Career minds, an outplacement services provider based in Hockessin, Del.


"It's a perfect opportunity for these workers to look at what their outside interests are," he says.


Those interests may lead to certification in a different field, an associate's degree or a four-year college program. Some states offer tuition reimbursement or other forms of retraining assistance for those who qualify.


Real Estate Agents


Salary range: $39,000 to $136,000


What happened: The floundering housing market has had a direct impact on real estate agents. Since 2006, this sector has lost 200,000 jobs, Wilson says. Real estate most likely won't turn around until the housing market does.


A good replacement job: Any type of sales position, says Schakelman. Since real estate agents are sales professionals, these skills can transfer to another segment that involves client relationships and striking a deal.


Automotive Assembly Line Workers


Salary range: $31,000 to $60,000


What happened: "The demand for U.S. cars has shrunk, and that affects those in the domestic auto industry as well as those in supporting industries," says Cohen, the career coach. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler also struggle with union rules and regulations.


For 2010, 11.5 million new vehicles were sold in the U.S., according to Edmunds.com. This marked an increase over 2009, the worst year in nearly three decades for the auto industry, with sales of 10.4 million vehicles, according to researcher IHS Automotive. These figures are a far cry from the more than 17 million in sales that auto manufacturers enjoyed in the early 2000s.


A good replacement job: If you're good with procedures, rules and regulations -- skills often needed on an assembly line -- look into security positions, Cohen says. Security-related jobs can be found in the private and public sectors. Think police, fire, sanitation or even food inspection.


Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives


Salary range: $75,000 to $106,000


What happened: For the past several years, pharmaceutical companies have been restructuring, consolidating and cutting jobs. In 2010, layoffs in the pharmaceutical industry surpassed the 50,000 mark, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., an outplacement consulting organization based in Chicago.


Of those affected in the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical sales representatives have been hit the hardest, says Adriana Llames, author of "Career Sudoku."


"Generic drugs and federal regulations have dried up these formerly highly compensated positions, and these well-educated sales professionals need to find jobs that take advantage of their skills," Llames says.


A good replacement job: A sales position in a related health care field, Llames says. Consider listing "health care industry" instead of "pharmaceutical industry" on your resume to broaden your options. Two fields of work to consider: sales of electronic medical records, or EMR, or medical waste services.


Personal bankers


Salary range: $30,000 to $42,000


What happened: Jobs in the financial industry that involve back-office operations such as account servicing, mortgage and personal loan approval, and information technology departments are phasing out, notes Cohen. The recession has caused many brick-and-mortar banks to close, and the Internet is leading more consumers to automated and online banking.


A good replacement job: Any job in risk management. Financial institutions and government bodies have needs in this area. To make the switch, demonstrate that you have the interest and are making the commitment through additional training, Cohen says.


Journalists


Salary range: $26,000 to $45,000


What happened: In short, the Internet; with more readers absorbing their news online, the demand for print has fallen and newspaper jobs are dwindling. Another 4,400 jobs in this industry will disappear by 2018 (out of 69,400 total in 2008), according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.


A good replacement job: Online reporter. While print is drying up, there is demand for more information on the Internet. Another option to consider: communication specialist in a corporation.


"Your choice of industry is only one factor in keeping a job," says Jeff Cohen, author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Recession-Proof Careers." "Never underestimate the importance of your education, training, performance on the job and work relationships to stay ahead of the

Libyan rebels stumbled upon some artifacts belonging to Gaddafi this week and made some interesting discoveries. Apparently it seems that Col Gaddafi has a strong admiration for Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Honestly, I’m not surprised by this discovery, because he has always made known that he admire and loved Condoleezza Rice.


In 2007 he [Gaddafi's] did an interview with Al- Jazeera stating "I support my darling black African woman," he said.” I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders ... Leezza, Leezza, Leezza. ... I love her very much. I admire her and I'm proud of her because she's a black woman of African origin


Col. Gaddafi is in love with Dr. Condoleezza Rice and I can’t blame him. She’s an attractive, educated sista with strong political connections. I wouldn’t mind adding that to my resume. C’mon son having the 66th U.S. Secretary of State as a potential girlfriend only builds new bridges and heaven knows Moammar Gaddafi can us her support right about now.

Three people have been charged in the slaying of aspiring New York rapper Kampane, whose dead body was found last week in an SUV parked in northern New Jersey. According to the Wall Street Journal, 30-year-old Brooklyn man, Randy Manning, has been charged with the murder of the 33-year-old aspiring rapper (born Rhian H. Stoute). Bail has been set at $2 million for Manning, who is also being charged with burglary, arson, witness tampering, desecration of human remains, and a weapons offense...

The Week In Wrestling with Emilio Sparks

Raw opens the same way it does EVERY WEEK a promo, Del Rio starts off with then Cena gets all Cena....Crazy Punk pop as usual. I enjoy Del Rio I really do think his stuff is amazing but obviously, Del Rio could NOT hang with Cena and CM Punk with that back and forth. Hunter comes out blabs and says Del Rio's got a match in about 2 minutes and Punk/Cena 3 for free on TV winner goes on to face Del Rio at Night Of Champions. Del Rio vs John Morrison was actually fun to watch. I know a Morrison flippy do match was enjoyable. He lost via submission. Jack Swagger lost to Alex Riley after Ziggler distracted him do we really care NOPE. The Miz & R-Truth attacked Santino Marella if you can pull yourself away from the Summer of Punk and recognize how entertaining R-Truth has been in recent months reward yourself follow me on twitter. Truth and The Miz delivered the most hilarious/entertaining segments of the night they stole the whole program. I would love to see Truth and Miz a tag team maybe a clever name like R-Awesome? Speaking of tag teams we had another tag match on RAW that's three weeks now. Kofi Kingston/Evan Bourne won the Tag titles from Mr Jennifer Hudson/The Son of Mr Perfect. Again I woke to a sea of Kings Of Wrestling tweets. We can only hope the KoW reigns supreme in the WWE that matches would be amazing. Hot Eve Torres beat Bre Bella I can’t decide which Bella Twin I like more both are really hot and look exactly the same. Nikki has the better stomach. Both of them chicks would be Staten Island girls who wear valor and uggs I'd love them both. I really like the old school superstars inset style promo this week it was by Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Twitter went HAM when John Cena threw his T-Shirt to the fans and had it thrown back. This also happened to Super Cena in New York City at the ECW One Night Stand PPV. Canada I love that your loyal you still boo HBK for the Montreal Screw Job. HBK can save puppies from a Canadian home and they would still boo. Throw them on the list for most live crowds with NYC, Boston, Chicago & Philly. Overall, it was a good match with a typical shit finish. Are you surprised Nash was used as a distraction? Del Rio jumps Cena and from the looks of it beats him up with a scarf. We get another Pay-Per-View Main event; with John Cena fighting for the WWE Championship...It looks like WWE creative is going with Del Rio vs. Cena and Nash vs. Punk. Ps... In PT 2 of Cena/Punk 3, Punk yells "I'M FLYING" at the 1:06 mark.

He announces that Mark Henry will get a shot at Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship next week on the Super Smackdown live special. Christian comes out and complains about whatever Christian complains about since that’s his thing as a heel. Hart makes it a steel cage match with him and drops Henry. For some reason Henry threatens Hart but Sheamus comes out and makes the save and you all cheer cause to heels wrestling in the WWE makes no sense. If you didn’t sleep due to the Hitman being on mic award yourself with a HBK dvd. I think Hitman is one of the GOATS but dude really needs a 5 hour energy or something.

Christian defeats Daniel Bryan, I hope they turn this into a feud. Both Christian and D-Bryan are money. I think these dudes mixing it up for a few weeks could really give Bryan that extra edge needed in WWE. Wade Barrett cuts a promo about it I'd rather watch a Tyler Perry movie. The botch king Sin Cara defeats Heath Slater I heard they had to re shoot the finish because Sin Cara botched. Sin Cara needed to go the developmental to get adjusted with working the "E" style.  World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton defeats Ted DiBiase real shock there huh kids... When DiBiase debuted I thought ok he’s going to be amazing, but nope he isn't his father. Ted had a personality. The Marine 2 proves how stoic DiBiase Jr is.  After the match, Cody Rhodes who is super money helped DiBiase take out Orton and put a paper bag over his head. I enjoy this paper bag gimmick. Cody never disappoints his match at Wrestlemaina with Rey was one of the highlights on that card.

Randy Orton came out and cut a promo on Christian the crowd could care less about the promo but it’s the viper so all the tweens cheered. Randy Orton is Warrior over in my opinion he could ramble about ducks and people would pop because RKO is just a cool dude.

Sheamus / Mark Henry 2 ends via count out he’s how it went down punch, punch , punch, slam, another slam, some more punches and more power moves maybe an announce table broken the World's Strongest Slam onto Sheamus on the steel ring steps.. I know a bunch of you guys really like this feud; I just don’t see the appeal.
