Lil Wayne and news from MTV: a timeline

Lil Wayne celebrates his release from prison, MTV News decided to look at the Weezy career, and as we sorted by vintage images of the young MC, we realized that MTV and Wayne go way back.

MTV News caught up with cash money in 1999 at the beginning, and correspondent Chris Connelly was so surprised that Wayne the youngest member of the crew that he had to confirm that indeed he was 14 years old.
