| Troy Davis Executed In Georgia. Posted:  It what many people are calling the biggest fail of todays judicial system, Troy Davis has been officially executed in the state of Georgia. The capital punishment was handed down when Davis who was convicted in a 1989 murder of off duty Savannah police officer, Mark MacPhail. Davis died at 11:08 p.m from lethal injection, four hours after the original time set for the process. After days of rallies across the United States, support from respected officials such as the Pope and former President Jimmy Carter there was a ray of hope for Davis and his supporters. As the U.S. Supreme Court filed a last minute "Hail Mary" attempt to commute the execution of Davis. That attempt failed and the those following, supporting and even opposing were left to scratching their head in disgust. Davis maintained his innocence till his last breath addressing the MacPhail family. How could a man be put to death with no concrete evidence against him as well as retracted statements from 75 percent of the witnesses who helped place Davis behind bars last century. This seemed like a no brainer and a chance for the judicial system to re-analyze the case, yet one mans name, reputation and life sits forever in limbo. While various people across the country voiced their opinions against the Death Penalty, one case has clear evidence the other blank. Please vote and make sure everyone from your local officials to your national leaders are representing you to the fullest. The world we live in is a scary place. As human beings we need to learn the power of respect for ourselves and each other. So when a man is in need whether black or white he can be aided, and police officers can protect and do right by the community and be given the respect they deserve and defend. No one man is better than the next unless he or she degrades themselves by improper actions. Hope for a better world but in that same breath do something to help the process.
