Who is Sketch?

When Nas crafted Illmatic or when Tupac penned Me Against the World they couldn't have imagined that their music was the soundtrack to a gang of wild kids raised in Fox Mill, Virginia.  Young Matt McGuiney and his friends, all from Middle Class suburban homes embraced the songs Inner City poverty and hustling.  They drank, smoked and chased girls to this music.  "There were a lot of kids in Fox Mill, Virginia who were into Hip Hop culture whether it be rapping, DJing, graf or breaking" Matt recalled of his hometown.   He dabbled in graffiti but quickly traded in his spray can for the microphone.    Paying homage to his graffiti roots, Matt adopted the stage name Sketch as he embarked on his new path.

DaVinci's new EP, Feast Or Famine, has been out for a little over a month now, and the visuals continue to roll in, including this latest video for "Beer, Bitches & Bullshit," a track that features fellow San Francisco rapper Roach Gigz, as well as Sacramento's own C-Plus. While videos like "D.R.E.A.M," or the mini-documentary "A Fillmore Story" offered a more serious look at DaVinci's life, the visual for "Beer, Bitches & Bullshit," finds DaVinci, along with his fellow Nor-Cal rappers kicking back, enjoying life's simpler pleasures...kind of. "I had a lot of fun shooting this video," explains DaVinci, "obviously I was smoking, rapping, and chilling with my folks and thats always fun, but I also had fun with the storyline that the directors came with. It's some shit a lotta rappers probably would be too uncomfortable doing, but we thought it was hilarious."

As promised, Mac Miller releases the title track for his upcoming debut LP after hitting 25,000 pre-orders. If Mac receives another 25,000 pre-orders he will be making a charitable donation of $50,000 to the Make A Wish Foundation. Blue Slide Park is currrently slated to drop on November 8th but if fans rally and get teh Rostrum Precords emcee to the 100K mark in pre-orders he plans to push the date up a week to November 1st. #ThumbsUp to all of the above and enjoy the newly released track produced by ID Labs.

Drake's rumored fling with Rihanna has been a topic for quite some time. The Canadian rapper even addressed the situation, through lyrics, on Rick Ross' "Made Men," rapping: "One of my baddest women ever, I call her Rihanna / But that's 'cause her name is Rihanna." He also opened up about it further on the song "Fireworks," off his debut album Thank Me Later, in which he basically says the singer used him. Drizzy opened up a little more about the brief relationship in the latest issue of Elle magazine, explaining that he was really hurt by it...

Big Boi side stepped any possible jail time accepting a plea deal for an early August arrest. Accepting three months of drug testing, community service and  most importantly $2,000 in charity donations. Big Boi is known to be a charitable guy so it goes without saying he'll go above and beyond.
