Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted its signature fundraiser, the Angel Ball, on Monday, October 17th at Cipriani Wall Street.  This black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated song writer Denise Rich and her daughter Daniella Rich Kilstock featured a cocktail reception, dinner, show and both live and silent auctions. Supermodel and Philanthropist, Naomi Campbell; and Vladislav Doronin, Founder Capital Group were honored. 



The Angel Ball, was hosted by Entertainment Tonight correspondent, Samantha Harris and featured performances by Patti Labelle, the winner of “The Voice” Javier Colon and Nile Rodgers  CHIC. Also on-hand were Kim Kardashian, who spoke to the crowd about losing her father, Robert Kardashian to esophageal cancer, 8 years ago; Lala Anthony, Eve, Shontelle, Clive Davis, Natalie Cole, Solange Knowles, Tommy Hilfiger, Russell Simmons, Star Jones, Michael Michele, and Angel Ambassadors  Ethan Zohn and Estelle. Guests danced through the night to the sounds of DJ Cassidy.



For the fourth year in a row, Board Member and celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz supported the event as Gala Angel Sponsor.Simon de Pury, Chairman of Phillips de Pury & Co. hosted the Live Auction featuring luxury lots. The Foundation partners withcharitybuzz.com for the online auction which runs from through October 27th at www.charitybuzz.com

Last night, basketball star Amar’e Stoudemire hosted the launch event for the new kid’s game Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure in New York City.  Over 100 kids from the Children’s Aid Society of Boys & Girls Club of America sported brand-new Skylanders pajama sets, met Amar’e, showed off their magical face paint designs, and even played Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure before it launches in the U.S. tomorrow on Sunday, October 16!  The kids were amazed during the “magic moment,” when the character Spyro appeared on the larger-than-life Portal of Power, proving that the game really does “bring toys to life!” Special guests of the evening also included Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen, who are the writers of the game and best known for their work as the screenwriters of Toy Story; Paul Reiche, Studio Head of Toys for Bob, which developed the game; and Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.
