's profile: with a degree in electronic engineering, Jon has spent a lot of life fixing things, make money by repairing amps, keyboards and mixers, including official guarantee jobs for the Roland as producers. Now a freelance software engineer and sound designer, Jon sees himself as a computer specialist/digital recording and has been responsible for some of the sounds found on songs from artists including Trent Reznor, Underworld, Rick Wakeman, Ultravox, Jamiroquai and stevie Wonder. He has worked on writing VSTs and AUs since 1995 for companies including GForce Software, Phillips, Soundscape and Spectrasonics and produced sounds on The Imposcar, Omnisphere/Sonosphere, Stylus RMX, and trilogy. Jon has a wide range of knowledge of DAWs and manages Live, logic, ProTools, and many others who, for the purposes of testing new software and has produced an album for the Jazz musician Paul Edmonds. His career has taken him into the world of 3D sound, working to Sensaura (EMI Group) and design studios. In his spare time, Jon likes to play guitar, which he did by child and frequents the local jam nights and open mic nights to play, as well as recording and guitar composition for local theater groups.
