Anthony Hopkins in 'The rite': "I know how scared people"

If Anthony Hopkins fans know nothing, is the fact that the winner of the Oscar-knows how to frighten viewers pants. The obvious, most famous example is his turn to recognized as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in "The silence of the lambs" and later sequels. It has been awhile since we've seen Sir Hopkins play dark and devious, but with the release of exorcism thriller "The Rite" Friday (January 28), fans can reacquaint themselves with little tricks of Hopkins and whims.

In the film, based on real events, Hopkins plays little Orthodox Exorcist father Lucas. Without delving into territory of wing - it is not more than what the creepy promotional posters give - when MTV News caught up with the actor recently asking us carry on the process of reproducing possessed.

Hopkins explained most performances come from an extensive preparation. For "The rite," he learned Latin and Italian for certain scenes and spent long hours alone in his room hotel with the script.

Hopkins said that "would be there in my den, my man cave, go and [the] script". "Gradually, progress through it one and another, all these voices and interpretation come to you", he explained, adding that at the time was ready for key possession of film sequences, he knew the material so well that it was open to improvisation.

"I put all sorts of very suggestive material that crop, but things that cause people." I knew that the response was good because [director] Mikael Håfström said, 'Are crazy'. "

Hopkins continued, with a smile, who only knows how "get people".
